Cherry Chip Cookies

These cookies are delicious and really easy to make. Just mix all of the ingredients together, adding the cherries and chocolate chips at the end.

I recommend refrigerating the dough before making them into balls to bake.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 3 cups Flour

Wet ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 8 tbs Butter, softened
  • 2 tsp Vanilla

Fillings

  • 1.5 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 16 oz Cherries (Maraschino)

Directions

Prepare ingredients 5 minutes

  1. Drain the juice from the jar of cherries into a small bowl. Set the juice to the side in case you need to add it to the dough to make it less crumbly.

Prepare dough 15 minutes

  1. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together - sugar, baking soda, and flour.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients - eggs, softened butter, and vanilla.

  3. Slowly pour the wet ingredient mixture into the dry while mixing. Start kneading the dough when it becomes too tough to mix.

  4. Add in the chocolate chips and then the cherries. Keep kneading the dough until the chips and cherries and evenly mixed. Add some cherry juice if you need to make the dough more sticky.

  5. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about an hour.

Make the cookies 15 minutes to scoop, 15 minutes to bake.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

  2. Scoop the dough into about one inch balls onto a cookie sheet. (You'll probably need at least two cookie sheets.)

  3. Bake for about 15 minutes. Let cool for another 15 minutes.
